The Route 34 Study authors gave a public presentation in June 2007. New Haven City Plan and its consultants brought up that the reconfiguration of Route 34 would make the city more walkable. Concerns were raised about how bicycle-friendly the new development would be, and whether or not traffic would be calmed to an appropriate extent.
